During this trip you will visit the famous Art cities of Florence and Siena. While both are beautiful places, they are very different, and often those who visit both find themselves preferring one over the other. Florence has it`s roots strongly in the Renaissance, whereas Siena is much more gothic, so it is likely that this is down to aesthetics. Both have rich histories and are full of Art. In Florence the city`s artists and sculptors, supported by the Medici and other powerful families filled the city with their best creations. Michelangelo, Leonardo, Donatello, Botticelli are but a few who have left their mark with their works. Siena is full of medieval and majestic buildings, and its many churches and small museums are also full of artwork.
