The Mreznica & Kayaking The limestone rocks of Croatia create a stunning system of rivers and waterfalls. This centre-based trip is located on the Mreznica River just metres away from a delightfully quiet section of the water. From this base you can explore the river, both up and down stream, kayaking between the natural turquoise pools that are formed by the limestone travertine deposits. The pools warm up to about 25 degrees in the summer - perfect for a swim after paddling. The Adriatic & the Dobra Following your introduction to the river you head to the coast and take sea kayaks out on the Adriatic. The Croatian coast is dotted with islands and caves and you will explore some of these. Alternatively you could always relax on the beach! The Dobra is a big river that has been dammed for electricity. Fortunately the power company releases water at set times allowing for some great rafting down river. |
