Into the Forests The rich habitat of Kibale Forest in Uganda is home to over 300 species of bird and the greatest variety and concentration of primates in East Africa. Here you will have the chance to track chimpanzees. You head on to Queen Elizabeth II National Park to spot antelope, elephants, hyena and baboon. A boat trip on the Kazinga Channel is the perfect opportunity to observe hippo and the prolific bird life of Uganda. Gorillas in the Mist Driving south, you may have a chance to catch sight of treeclimbing lions before reaching the Impenetrable Forest of Bwindi National Park, where half the world’s population of mountain gorillas live.
