Big Game Spotting The search for wildlife begins in the dense rainforest at the foot of the Uluguru Mountains, home to colobus monkeys. From your comfortable lodge in Mikumi National Park you game drive in search of elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, impala and other antelope. Keep your eyes peeled for predators; lion and leopard will not be far away. Saadani Game Reserve Travelling north to your unique beach camp, in a region barely touched by tourism, you stay in thatched tented bungalows. It’s certainly hard to beat the excitement of a walking safari; with your heart in your mouth you will spot eland, waterbuck, zebra, giraffe, oryx and perhaps the rare Roosevelt sable. A relaxing river boat trip will allow a glimpse of hippo, crocodile and many bird species. You will also have the chance to visit a local school, meet the children and maybe strike up a friendly game of football! Finally a light aircraft will return you to Dar Es Salaam. Responsible Travel The Adventure Company support the Mkwaja Primary School, which you will have the opportunity to visit. You will see for yourselves how the children are progressing and perhaps have the chance to help them try out and improve their English.
